I would not recommend this company. Although the staff and service reps are nice, their service results were disappointing my second time around. I purchase a Ford Transit vehicle that needed extensive work that J&H took care of right away. My dash was working, but my turn signals were not. They fixed everything for me to pass State Inspection (including my turn signals) and at the cash cost of over $4,000. Weeks later, my turn signals were not working. I returned to J&H, believing it was a simple fix under warranty. Their diagnostic test determined I needed a control arm for signaling. I agreed to a diagnostic cost of $184 and service, which would cost around $420 or so. After a couple weeks, my only option was to pick up my vehicle with my dashboard not working at all! I was told that I had preexisting defects that J&H were not responsible for, although the dashboard was working properly when they took possession. He was done with it. To add insult to injury, I was required to pay the diagnostic fee because he spent hours trying to correct what went wrong during service. I was forced to take my Ford Transit vehicle back in worse shape than when I checked it in. And Andy was adamant that it was my responsibility! Wow! Currently, my vehicle is at Al Packer Ford on Pulaski Highway. A new diagnostic fee is $300. That’s only the beginning. Just got the call. The total cost of replacing a Module is $1,305. I paid for a Diagnostic performance. Who should foot this bill? #LongLiveMyFordTransit
Wendell, Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sorry you were disappointed. That’s never what we want. Vehicles with past electrical problems can be very hard to diagnose, especially when parts or wiring have previous damage. These issues can come and go, affect many systems, and sometimes need advanced equipment to confirm. Our team spent several hours checking the problem and only charged one small diagnostic fee. No parts were sold during this visit. Because of the previous damage, the most honest next step was to recommend the dealership for a final diagnosis. We always aim to be fair, transparent, and to go above and beyond for every customer. I’m sorry this experience didn’t meet your expectations. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss this further.
